Bastard by Dawn

A knight stands amidst the burning forest, his armor blackened by soot and ash and blood. The once lush forest around him is now a raging inferno, the flames illuminating the knight's scratched and marred helm. He stands alone, his sword unsheathed. The weight of his actions weight heavy but he is whatever may come next, whether it be redemption or destruction.
